Martha Haun, Ph.D. - Associate Professor.
She earned her B.S. and M.A. at the University of Texas in Austin, and her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois (Champaign/Urbana). Her research and teaching areas include public address, crisis communication, meeting management/parliamentary procedure and communication theory. Dr. Haun is the Director of the Crisis Research Center and the editor of the state/annual Texas Speech Communication Journal. In 1998 she was honored with the national Distinguished Service Award from the Commission on American Parliamentary Practice and in 1999 Dr. Haun was named University Educator of the Year by the Texas Speech Communication Association.
